Why Merge PDFs?

One Attachment, Not Six

A reviewer opens a single contract instead of hunting through six files in an Outlook thread.

Scanned in Batches

Flatbed scanners split a long document into separate files; merging puts the pages back in order.

Portals Accept One File

Visa applications, tax portals and grant forms usually allow exactly one PDF per upload field.

About Merge PDF

Common Questions

Yes — drag the file rows up or down before clicking Merge. Output page numbers run top-to-bottom in that order.

No, and this is worth knowing before you start. The merged file is assembled as a new document, so a source PDF's bookmark outline and its interactive form fields are left behind. Page text, images, OCR layers and per-page links all come across. If a bookmarked table of contents is the point of the document, merge it in a desktop PDF editor instead.

Every page keeps its own dimensions, so an A4 document merged with US Letter gives you one PDF containing both sizes. Viewers handle that without complaint, but a printer may scale pages to fit the tray — worth a look at the print preview if the mix matters.

No — encrypted PDFs need to be unlocked first. Use Unlock PDF to remove the password, then come back to merge.
